Bristot coffee: the real Italian espresso

Think of espresso for a moment. What brand comes to mind that conjures up an incomparable espresso taste in your cup? That's right - Caffè Bristot from the picturesque town of Belluno in the province of the same name in northern Italy. The traditional roastery, just an hour's drive from Venice, roasts original Italian espresso. Bristot coffee is no longer just known in the Dolomites, but is popular all over Europe and even the world. Although the original family roastery has been owned by Procaffè AG for some time, the founder's ethical values - integrity, honesty and transparency - still form the basis of the company's philosophy. The customer is always at the centre of everything they do. After all, they want to be spoilt with the true pleasure of Bristot. Other well-known coffee brands such as Deorsola and Breda also belong to the globally active Procaffè AG group.

History of Bristot Coffee

Bristot Coffee was founded in 1919 by Domenico Bristot, a young and ambitious man who returned to Italy after World War I. Inspired by the coffee cultures and traditions he had discovered during his stay in Vienna, Domenico decided to establish his own coffee brand in Belluno, a small town in the Dolomites in northern Italy. His goal was to create a coffee that could compete with the best European cafes of the time.

Domenico Bristot began experimenting with different blends and roasting techniques, always striving for perfection. He set the bar high by selecting only the best green coffee beans, which he personally imported from countries such as Brazil and Central America. These beans underwent a careful process that consisted of slow roasting, resulting in a unique, refined flavor.

Over the course of the 20th century, Bristot grew to become one of the leading coffee brands in Italy. Their dedication to quality, innovation and creating a refined taste continued to set the brand apart. Bristot was one of the first coffee brands to introduce the "Procaffe Bristot" method, a systematic approach to coffee roasting that ensured coffee quality and consistency.

Today, Bristot is known for its premium coffees appreciated around the world. The brand remains true to the values of its founder by combining innovation with the traditional Italian passion for coffee. Whether espresso blends or carefully prepared single-origin coffees, Bristot remains a symbol of Italian coffee excellence, celebrated in cafes and households worldwide.

The history of Bristot is not only the story of a coffee brand, but also a reflection of Italian culture and a century of excellence, tradition and innovation. It remains a beacon of quality and enjoyment for coffee lovers around the world.
