About Delta Cafés

Delta Cafés was founded in 1961 by Rui Nabeiro in Campo Maior, a Portuguese town near the Spanish border. The company started in a warehouse measuring just 50 m² with three employees.

Eventually, the original roasting facility could no longer keep up with the company’s growth. Starting in the late 1970s and early 1980s, coffee production was therefore gradually moved to Herdade das Argamassas near Campo Maior. There, the production facility expanded further and was modernized.

In 1994, according to the company’s own history, Delta achieved a leading position in the Portuguese coffee market. Today, the brand operates internationally, and Campo Maior remains closely tied to Delta’s history and production.
